Looking very nice. Did you use bristlebrush or airbrush ?

Bristle brush  that's why I'm so far out of my comfort zone :-D

To be fair I'm getting more in my comfort zone with this figure due to the excellent job Airfix did in the first place, it's needed only minor drops of filler and the definition of the uniform and saddle work has made it easier to paint than say a WWII or modern soldier or one of those fantastic rock stars conversation that you make such a brilliant job of.

Going back to basics using a hairy stick has been a challenge as my steady hands aren't as steady as they used to be plus it has highlighted the fact I should look at new glasses

The flag was easier to make than I thought.

Plenty of reasonably priced ones on eBay..

Just snapped one up for 7 quid! :-D
though if I'd done it a day earlier I could have got the Polish Lancer and a French Cuirassier unboxed for a fiver

This really is great work all round, Splash and the replacement lance that you mentioned over on the CBK area, now complete with flag, has been well worth the effort!

great work on this Splash, i agree with Shaun the work on the lance has been well worth it, the whole model is looking good, are you putting the reins on the horse or have you finished either way it is a very good model well done

I'm still working on him, but have taken a short break whilst I throw together a Revell Tribal class Destroyer to test some new ship building skills like chain making. http://www.uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=15653

An excellent kit from memory. I converted one of these years ago (1960/70s) into a trumpeter coming off a tumbling horse. Must see if it still exists somewhere.
