1/75 figures (or thereabouts)

Whole chunks of real life...scaled down, figures in all scales...even footballers!

1/75 figures (or thereabouts)

Post by DH-Drover »

I have Heller kits of both Pinta and Nina in what is supposed to be 1/75 scale. Nina is but Pinta has the same hull :roll: However Pinta is Nina after she was re-rigged.
My problem. I need crew, 1492 style, or figures that can be converted to seamen of the period.

There are a couple of Conquistador sets by Revell and Ceasar that could be pillaged to provide the officers; I would look at Wars of the roses sets for unarmoured figures, the basic clothing had not changed that much in shape in the intervening period.
currently on the go: Revell Blenheim I, Italeri Me210, Revell HMS victory, Revell 1/144 p-47

Try the Emhar Vikings
http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=1317;
They are made of a bendable resin, so the seated oarsmen can be bent into other duties.
Give the guys with helmets a head transplant and they are usable as well.

I'd not worry about keeping to the stated scale of those ships. Its only an approximation. No details of the real sizes of the ships exist.
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.
