That's one serious looking furball.

Looking good. Some whiskers would finish him, or her, off nicely. :)

Evil looking beast. I don't like the gleam in its eyes!

I thought of adding some whiskers, but none of the Monster Scenes artwork shows the cat as having them. I suspect Dr. Deadly singed them off in one of his nefarious experiments...

The cat’s cage was sprayed with Tamiya IJN Sasebo Arsenal Grey (XF-77). To vary the surface a bit I also hit it with slightly lighter Tamiya Neutral Grey (XF-53) highlights in an airbrushed cloud pattern. Unfortunately, this color variation proved to be so subtle it wasn’t even visible!

Image

Oh, well. I tried it again adding a similar cloud pattern with darker Tamiya German Grey (XF-63) shadows.

This worked better, but I wonder if it will even make a difference once the weathering effects are applied..?

And now... Rust!

After wetting the entire cage with paint thinner, I applied exaggerated rust effects using Raw Umber, Burnt Umber, and Burnt Sienna Winsor & Newton artist’s oils.

Dr. Deadly may have been an evil genius, but he clearly wasn’t much for maintenance!

our caged cat is definitely NOT happy–

...but perhaps a poorly secured door will be his chance at freedom...!

Excellent work on the cage but keep the door locked. We don't want that thing loose.
