Airfix WWII infantry

Post by Bob Peyton »

Just received a box of these eagerly awaited figures- First new Airfix figure release in 30+ years.

First impression- extreme disappointment. Not as detailed as Caesar figures.

6 Brens- 3 kneeling 3 firing from hip

3 radio operators kneeling

3 PIATS- lying holding PIAT in one hand and ammo in other

9 Stens- 3 advancing firing, 3 standing firing, 3 advancing

3 Ofiicers with pistol

24 rifles- 4 kneeling firing, 4 standing firing, 4 running , 3 standing high port, 3 advancing rifle held at waist level, 3 walking rifle slung, 3 advancing rifle held high.

They remind me of the old British combat group.

Are these made from the same soft polythene (HDPE) as the old Airfix figures?
