Challenger I Mk 3, Bosnia 1996 - Mud Mud Glorious Mud!

Post by Boldman »

So this is another diorama (I love 'em!) based around the Tamiya 1:35 Challenger 1 Mk 3, with extras from Accurate Armour for the dozer blade, AFV crew, PE camo net, carbon fibre aerials and fire extinguishers. Other bits were scratch built such as tarpaulins with tissue paper soaked in coloured, dilute pva glue. Decals from Echelon to represent a tank from Queen's Royal Hussars in Bosnia in 1996.

Terrain was built up using balsa woof frame coated with plaster bandage, plaster cast rocks, claycrete, ballast, rocks, twigs and static grass. Lots of mud from MiG pigments!

So here goes...

Original, eye catching and very well handled!

Perhaps a few more figures, to add even more 'life'?

Inspirational!

The height you've added to this dio really makes it standout as well as helping to frame it. Very impressive.

I have a plan for sometime in the new year to extend the diorama back down the road where a Scimitar CRV(T) will be providing backup while the Challenger clears the landslide...
