SMW 2013 Volunteers

Post by JamesPerrin »

Your SIG Needs You!

Every year we provide voluntary staff to help IPMS with the running of the show. This is for just a 1 hour shift. We have always managed to muster a couple of people each day. This is your opportunity to give a little back to the IPMS(UK) who organise the world's largest model show on a purely voluntary basis. Apart from a warm glow you might get a free T-shirt too!

This year the form is slightly different in that we can request areas in which we wish to help. I know that last year 1 person loved working in the kitswap and another didn't.

No Preference
Front of House
Cashiers
Members help desk
Doors/Members check in (early start IIRC)
Competition Stewarding
Kitswap
QRA

Please indicate a preference or none and for which days. I'm going to have a bash a the kitswap on Sunday if anyone wants to join me. I don't want to have to rely on the same who willing volunteer every year so if you our attending please consider signing up. You'll help get us Brownie points with the organizers

I'm happy to do kit swap again... but ideally NOT as it finishes and the reconciliation begins... ;-P

You can put me in for Front of House, though I will be volunteering as part of the CC SIG as well.

Thanks fellas, esp Mike as you're a first timer. I've put us down for 2 front of houses on Saturday and 2 Kitswaps on Sunday, you can fight over who does what, nearer the time ;-)
