Re: CBK 2013 Display Poll Final Round
Operator headspace & timing issue, now sorted .... as #4 now.
But we appear to have a 1-2 phantom votes for "First CBK" at this time ....

Has James voted, or does he have to stand aloof, as instigator?

No I've not voted yet. I prefer people to follow their hearts rather than the leaders. However in the event of tie I guess I have the casting vote

I voted for Everythineg but Aeroplanes in both polls as I believe it breaks the mold and would encourage more people to take up the hobby.

Re: CBK 2013 Display Poll Final Round
As I'm not around tomorrow morning I vote for My First CBKs.
I'll let the poll run to it's end and then announce the winner and how to proceed.

Re: CBK 2013 Display Poll Final Round
.... and the winner is My First CBKs.
Thank you all for taking part and being patience with the process, I know it's taken a long time but it is far better to go ahead with a good idea than race ahead with a poor one. I also feel we have a really strong idea for next year's display.
I hope those that didn't vote for the winning theme will still take as this SIG only works when we all pull together, it is your display.
I will post a clear set of rules and requirements, in the meantime you may want to seek a hypnotist and get them to take you back to your earliest modelling memories.

Re: CBK 2013 Display Poll Final Round
Thanks, James; I apprecaite your efforts.
Don't forget, everyone, that My First CBK doesn't have to be an aircraft. Be creative - My First CBK Dinosaur, or My First CBK Ship are equally valid here. Personally, I am aiming to do My First CBK Airliner, and My First CBK Theme, so there's a couple more potential ideas.

Re: CBK 2013 Display Poll Final Round
I'm way ahead as I already listed a series of "My Firsts ...." and I've been thinking of other variations since, but I'll wait until James provides us the [cue the ponderous music] Definitive Guidance

Re: CBK 2013 Display Poll Final Round
That's good because today I picked up a Daplo copy of the Airfix Scammell Scarab, this would have been the first kit I recall buying back in 1962/3 when I was nine or ten, my big brother had a Hornby ho/oo electric train set that had three rails (centre rail was for the electric pick up) and I built it to go by his station.
Looking back I now see my brother had conned me to stock his railway
