The tarp is simply tissue paper brushed with PVA glue, cheap quick and effective :-D

The Auster is progressing well. I have used brass rod stuck down with clear PVA to give the impression of the complex frame work seen inside an Auster.

I have also painted it silver and painted a blue coach line down the side, I don't know the a/c registration so I will leave it off. I also think this was the wrong mark of Auster as the one I flew in had integral flaps which would have made it a mk5 that had a different nose and engine, but I won't tell if you don't :oops:

Great frame-work! I would never have thought to do that. It looks brilliant!
I'm a mostly full-time modeller put a part-time poster....

Yes I'm pulling out all the stops and working on it tonight and tomorrow night as my wife is out both nights. :-D

Just about finished only the wheels, prop and a new top canopy to replace the kit part that has a dome on it to be done.
