The fuselage of the 'Belle has been cleaned up and following both then-and-now images of the aircraft the astro dome has been removed from the nose and filled, the circular aperture having been blanked off prior to joining the fuselage halves.

The wings have been assembled and are here loosely placed in the Lego assembly jig.

To make the change of dihedral easier I cut away the tongues from the wing halves, shaped the lower facing to allow the wing to be moved and cut a slot in their place.
A shallow plastic card tongue was glued into the slots in each fuselage half to align the three parts and the area around the joints was protected with masking tape to make the task of filling easier.

Have had computer problems which were solved with a full reinstall but cannot download needed upgrades to fully function until next Wednesday, in order to finish on time I must continue without pictures until then when I will edit them in.

No worries. I have some ready to get onto my computer, hopefully later today and I'll get some more done on the 'Sally B'

All the best.

The elevators have been attached to complete the basic airframe, the engines, cockpit canopy & nose transparency have still to go on after painting. The next stage is to apply the basic colour scheme starting with the Neutral grey 42 undersides.

The green disruptive has now been applied, this was tricky in a couple of places as the instruction sheet side view patterns did not fully match the plan view but all is well in the end. The next stage will be to apply the varnish and then later the decals.

The decals are now in place, the matt varnish is on and is dry and the remaining parts are now going on.

Great work David. Wish I'd kept me old lego, it comes in very useful for modelling!
