Good choice. It is this boxing that I will be using for my build.

All the best.

This looks to be a good kit to build although I have heard that the decals are not that great, so the red stripes may well be painted on instead.
This like most of my builds will be OOB and so no fancy innards from me though I will most likely add Tamiya seat belts because I like to push myself now and again.... :-D :-D :-D :ha: :ha: :ha:

Nice detail in these kits. Makes me want to get even more and lord knows I don't have any room for them

I like the detail and panel lines. Will be interesting to see how good this kit is.

   I have managed to do some work on this build finally...

The cockpit was given a wood floor and the rest was painted interior green after looking around the net and also the rear half of the fuselage was painted silver as most people agree that this was most probably the colour of a war time B17G, true or not I don't really know but it makes a nice color combo anyway...

The decals for the seat and IP had to be trimmed somewhat to fit correctly and then were given a good soak in setting solution

The nose/bomb aimers compartment was then joined to the cockpit bulkhead.

Multi toned fuselage...

The a trial fit into the fuselage and no problems were found.

The decals in some of the older Academy kits aren't the best they have a tendency to flake and peel away a couple of weeks after you apply them. Sealing them may help but I would still paint the red parts. The cockpit looks cool too.

Great work on the cockpit Mark and this looks to be a very nice kit. The last Fort I built was the Airfix Bit O' Lace back in the 70's when rivets were rivets and transparencies were thicker than Benny out of Crossroads. Just goes to show how kits have come on.....

I first had a go proper on an Airfix Albatros DVa about three years ago before that I just bimbled around with props.
