Back on it now that weekend of nights is out of the way.
I've found a suitable spraying stand and I've been outside.
Image

It's a bit (very!) windy but I managed to get the first coat of white on.
Image

Once it's dried, which shouldn't take long in the conservatory, I can add another.
I made sure all the dots were pressed down but I can already see that some of them have started to peel again. I foresee lots of touching up!

Nice bit of work in the great outdoors there Ian. At least this time of year you shouldn't get any flies sticking to the wet paint!

Spotted Richard (the politically correct forum has changed the D Word to Richard on my reply!) - mmmmm nice pud. Stop sniggering at the back regarding the rather unfortunate name, you're supposed to all be adults
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Work is the curse of the modelling classes!

That's looking very cool. Any more progress Ian?

All the best.

No mate. It's kind of stalled as I have runs and am not sure how to proceed. I don't know whether to try to sand them off or to use Mr Muscle and start from scratch.....

So I started removing my masks and I had blue circles!

Sadly, they were the only two.......
The rest looked like this

Given that I had 2 good circles out of the 100+ that I masked, and that I have runs in the white paint, I am officially throwing in the towel and will be handing over the model to my good friend, Mr. Muscle. I shall entrust him to remove all the paint so that I can start again from scratch - just not with Spotted Cow.
In fact, now that I've disarmed the beast I may have to go down the 'civilian' route with this model.

That's too bad Ian... This isn't an easy aircraft to build. I look forward to seeing what you do with it now.

That is a real shame Ian, but I am sure a Phoenix will rise from the ashes so to speak.

A shame it didn't work out perhaps making decals for the polka dots would be easier.

That must be disappointing but you gave it a great try. Hopefully we'll see it resurrected with a new paint scheme one day.

That's too bad Ian, especially after your effort with the little *** ehm... spotsie dotsies.
Rise up as a champion and make a beauty of it later, I know you will.
