Yellow and aluminum always look good together, especially with a black trim! ;-)
Seeing all the nice B17s here I am solely tempted to get one, well actually two. Cause I want Memphis Belle and a shiny one.

Great work!

A shiny one, lots on offer, I would choose Hasegawa over the Academy ones if you just want a "F" or "G' version, as the Academy kits have a few issues like the interior not fitting properly once you close up the fuselage halves, and the wing dihedral issue. It's a shame because otherwise it looks really nice and they are the only brand that did the whole run of B-17 marks.

I hope to finish this in the next few days, as I am also hoping for another blitz but not before this one is done!

I have the Memphis Belle as well Priscia some parts of the sprues and the instructions are photocopies and the original box is gone but if you are interested PM me.

Slowly finishing up, taped off the clear frames today been putting that off! Also have to clean up some of the walkway lines glue on some smaller parts and should be done by deadline.

Thanks Dirk

Finished it today, for a build which has been a bit of a drag at times (all my fave activites - lots of masking, lots of clear pieces) I am happy with the results.

That looks excellent Saxon, I think you've managed a great looking NMF and weathering.

That is really well done ! The weathering, particularly the yellow on the fuselage, is excellent !

That's great Saxon. I bought one of these myself and if I can do half the job you did I'll be pleased.

Thanks for your comments, I bought this maybe about 10 years ago even though I knew the colour scheme would challenge me! I'm happy with it and it is quite a different B-17 variant

Absolutely wonderful, Saxon. A real eye-catching model which I've never seen built. Very well done!

Thanks Ian!

One mistake I did make which I noticed today at work and just corrected was I put the stars and bars on the wings the wrong way around! So here are a couple of pics of the corrected model.

The good thing about Academy decals is they scratched right off with my fingernail!

To spend so much time on a build and get it wrong in such a silly way is annoying!!
