Sissels Spitfire IXc 'Desert Camo' ** FINISHED **

Post by Sissel »

Yup, I will have a go at this one. My challenge here will be paint drying and then klear drying before the decal stage.
I'm planning to start Friday afternoon right after I get home, or maybe evening, or heck maybe even midnight!
I guess I will hopefully get paint and Klear on before going to bed.

I don't have all the paint I need for the camo. The underside blue will just have to be something similar. As for one of the camo desert colors I do have one in Humbrol acrylic. I don't seem to have any brown in Vallejo even similar so will give that one a go.

It's a lovely kit, Sissel. Not much filler required on this one. So with acrylic paints you should sail through this one.

This looks to be a goodie Sissel and, as it's a new tool, in theory at least it should go together nicely. I'm hoping to start my build on Friday too. Best of luck with it.

Thanks for the good words, guys. I'm really looking forward to it.
Now I need to go through the instructions and make a plan. I will have one this time!
And offcourse the usual very, highly, super important nutrition in form of chocolate and drinks in all flavors, strong and plain! ;-)

If this goes well I'm planning another blitz build, but which kit is the victim is still a secret. My lips are sealed. Struts are involved though! :-D

It's a great kit Sissel. Certainly Blitzable.

All the best.

Thanks! Now I'm really itching to start.
Tomorrow I will play around with an Aztek airbrush with Revell compressor. Borrowing for a month or two by a friend of my dad. He insisted!
Now I just need to figure out how it all works.
I'm all for modelling this week!

Okay, change of plans! Knocking out Friday and in with tomorrow. I have gone loopy from reading the other threads here so I'm starting tomorrow at about noon! Yep, that's right. I can't take it anymore.
Will be some short 24 hours as there is the chess club tomorrow night (which I may bail) and some appointments on thursday morning. But what the heck...

Right now I like the smell of coffee! Did not sleep very well, and the weather is screaming for a long hiking trip in the forest. Oh well, hope the weekend is just as nice. Frosty and sunny.
Have cleaned the bench for models and just gonna get some drinks and chocolates.
I doubt I will finish this by midnight. So I am gonna need to do two 12 hour shifts, as I have appointments to attend to tommorrow morning, will be home around 1pm or so.
But I knew this before. I just couldn't wait to Friday! :-D

See ya in a bit...
