If this is the olde worlde cobra, it'll take a bit of bashing  I look forward to seeing your build - or at least some of it as it is the Huddersfield model show on Sunday.

It's the old, but I want to give it a go anyways. Need to reduce my stash as I keep ordering models :frown:
I blame you guys for that! (need to blame someone, and Ian's not around so....) :ha:

Dang! The old Aircomamaonabobra is a bit of a pig, to put it mildly.. my one had a serious warp in the underside of the fuselage (where the fuselage meets the wing). It scrubbed up alright in the end, though. Just make sure you have some filler to hand (along with the booze and snacks!)

Haha I know.. but I don't mind. Booze and snacks not a problem. I already went shopping today for Fridays fun day.
My best friend on Sunday will most likely be Squadron green putty.

I built this kit last year and while it is an old kit I thoroughly enjoyed the build. The toughest part to me was the underside joint where the wing meets the fuselage

Ah, thanks for showing me that, Dirk. Easy problem to solve, will simply NOT take pics of the underside. :-D
I know my putty and sanding skills aren't great, so we will see how it turns out. I'll be happy if it just looks like an aircraft.

Any other things I should look out for?

I did the Airfix kit last year for the P-39GB, thread is here

I didn't do much to it other than create a certain specific aircraft with a tail hook, but I do remember the spinner is really terrible and I had to sand it into shape. Also the rudder shape might need work, and two of us believe the fuselage doesn't sit right on the wing, it seems tilted -- but one can overcome it by judicious adjustment of the tail planes.
