Wow, that was quick Greg. How long did that take in total?

How does it compare to the Airfix kit?

I haven't built the Airfix kit yet but from looking at it in the box (I have one here) the Hobbyboss kit is of course far more basic and has no drop tanks or other hardware under the wings. It's pretty basic but looks like a P51. The canopy frame looks a bit thick and the clear part a bit shallow but I have not checked against references but other than that it's ok and a painless build and ideal for a 'quick fix' Blitzbau or AMS relief build. Also with the low price tag good if you want to build a few Mustangs for a dio or to use all the options on an aftermarket sheet.
I would guestimate the total build time (I was working on the B17 and doing a bit of housework at the same time) was just over an hour. The kit is very simple and the paint I used was acrilic (Xtracrylic and Revell aqua) the glue was Mr Cement.
