Crikey, that's a big tank! These Emhar kits are pretty decent, hey? I enjoyed building the Af7 a while back.

Thank you.

Ok I had a little trouble trying to get the starboard rear tadpole extension onto the body of the tank but after a bit of jiggling I got there in the end.
Not a kit for beginners though but if they had more than 24 hrs to build it then they might find it ok.

I have filled some gaps with Vallejo putty and will let it dry for an hour before spraying a coat of faded drab over it.

Some more jolly music...

That is really shaping up well Mark and looks great. And you've given us some New Order. Can't grumble really

They have some good bands from Manchester Flak, there is this one band though that are really exceptional but do you know that right now I can't remember their name I always TRIP up on band names me..... :-D
Yep things are going Ok so far.
I have just given it a coat of Xtracrylics Faded Olive drab so I will let that dry a little before taking a photo, then I will add a few drops of yellow to it and weather it slightly.
In the mean time there is not much I can do apart from having a drink.

And listen to a little bit of this....

That Guinness looks good. If I could, I'd shove a straw through the screen and guzzle it whilst you weren't looking.

New Order are indeed from Manchester, which is also home city to THE FALL you know. Perhaps you've heard of them. Perhaps you might even play some of their songs for us. No one else did. Especially that monkey feller. No matter how much I begged him.

I will most probably have another though I may push the boat out and have a glass of mild...

Well I have given it a coat of Faded olive drab and some weathering with a mix of yellow and FOD I am pretty pleased with it.

I know what you are thinking....your thinking that's more like yellow than green but let me assure you it is a trick of the light( I hope) I just can't be arsed to change the settings in the white balance to incandescent light.

Manchester you say Shaun...ummm I thought I knew some bands from there but now I have had a Guinness I have brain fog, can do Sheffield though..These actually could have come from Manchester if they had a mind too.

Very nice work on yon Tadpole Mark.

Sheffield did indeed spawn some good bands. I think. Anyway, it's in Yorkshire so that can't be a bad thing overall. T'Human League were right good in their day old lad. Especially them two young lasses they had in t'band, they were proper grand they were. Not certain abaht t'singer though. Ee looked more like a lass than a lad. Bit on a jessie if thy asks me.

Sorry about not updating last time but I had visitors....

Anyway I have given the model a brown wash and started to pick out the rivet detail and added a few streaks here and there.
The mortar was also painted and given a wash.
The exhaust has been painted firstly with Tamiya red/brown and when dry enough I added the three rust pigments from Mig as were the tracks but pictures will have to be tomorrow of those as they are still drying and will make a right mess if I move them before they are dry enough.

That's all for tonight I will start again in the morning.

And leave you with this song from Bomb the Bass

That looks stunning! Excellent weathering, you make it look so easy.
And I love your choice of beer! Guinness is one of my favorites. Really should get my arse to Dublin and Guinness Brewery.
Reminder for weekend, buy Guinness.
Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...

That is a great looking model. Plenty of detail there to highlight and treat to washes etc.
