Mmmmmmmm..... the phrase "booze 'n' fags achieved" probably paints a very different picture to our U.S. readers!!! Ho hum, same language, different uses!

Mike that kit is as rough as a badgers A**E.
It is actually worse than the PM kit - I know, never thought I would hear myself say that.
My suggestion would be:

My suggestion would be:
- Place the kit in the 'Round File'. There is usually one in the corner of the room.
Source a nice block of wood, preferably Oak.
Carve an F-5 like shape with your finger nails - it will be quicker than fixing the Airfix kit

Seriously, never EVER go to a hotel in L.A and ask for 20 fags to be sent to your room. Don't ask me how I know this.
Would ya like to learn to fly? Would ya? Would you like to see me try?

Re: FREEDOM!! mmD does an F-5A, IN PROGRESS
Too true. This kit might be an old bone chewer but Migrant did a masterful job with it. Personally, it's one of those old kits that I try to avoid. Some old kits are gems, others not so. Overall I did enjoy building the old Airfix Gnat for this very blitz a couple of weeks ago except for the decals, which were the 70's originals. Oh dear they were bad.jssel wrote:Look what the Migrant did with his
The problem I have with Airfix's pricing policy with these older kits is that they ask the same price as some of the newer and infinitely better kits they are now producing. Naughty, naughty.

Anyway, amidst all this hilarious banter...
....nothing much is happening.
It's Got Red On It
Now that's my kind of canopy masking
Raul Seixas didn't tickle your fancy? How aboot some Portuguese Fado, courtesy of the wonderful Madredeus.. this even has a nifty jews harp solo near the end (you'll have to get beyond 40 seconds, Ian)

Re: FREEDOM!! mmD does an F-5A, IN PROGRESS
This is true Shaun - the Airfix Gazelle, Scout and Scorpion are lovely little kits that are worth a skydiver of anybody's money. But dressing up old carp in new artwork smells, to me, of sharp practise. It's not good for the brand (and I love Airfix with a passion), not one bit.ShaunW wrote:[The problem I have with Airfix's pricing policy with these older kits is that they ask the same price as some of the newer and infinitely better kits they are now producing. That song is in foreignese. I can't understand a word! On the positive side, that's some great masking!
Flak, I am so glad I am at work right now. There's no way I would be able to sleep with the images currently in my head.....

Keep at it Mike, I think you're doing a decent job. You've got to like the canopy masking
Is this going to be gear up on a stand then?
