Lost In Translation... I'll never forget the look of utter horror on the face of the rather prim elderly lady at the checkout of a Melbourne department store when, having been asked for ID, I said "I'll just have a root in my bag for it"

Gear down in a full maintenance type scene diorama with engine out, self perpetuating steam from coffee mugs and scale music from a working 1/72 valve radio set. Oh come on, you know somebody somewhere can do that right?

I'm not up on Aussie slang but I'll take a guess that root or bag has a very different meaning down there....

I'll be switching over to the Hockey shortly (the Blackhawks going for an all-time NHL record for unbeaten start, not that you lot care)..
