Blitzbau House - The Builds ***Finished***
This is where the action will take place.
I started the day with a hearty Greggs cornbeef pasty just to get in the Blitz mood.
I even put on my special blitz socks.
Cool or what?
Kick of at 3 pm GMT

I am in with this:
Cosmic the effeminate chef will be joining us a couple of hours late. His build will be:
Finnski (remember him?) will be joining us this evening & he might bring some ship models to paint.
Of course I must mention Paul our host who will be supplying us with drinks, crisps, 3D movies, fresh meat & anything else we need.
I intend to provide an update hourly or so but that may be effected by drink. i brought some Mead.

Re: Blitzbau House - The Builds ***underway***
First update, not much to show really just painted the interior black as per the instructions.
I will mention that this build is only possible because of the kindness of our fellow forum members.
Instructions & decals were supplied by Murfv & the wheels came from lancfan. There you go lads, I said I would mention you.
Has anyone made this kit before, I have not. So if there are any gotcha's please shout out.
As Cosmic is not here yet I will dedicate this one to him.

Must be time for an update. I'll bet they're all sat up there scoffing Parmo and chips - if you are, I hope it's the gentleman's size and not one aimed at the ladeez

Sorry guys. Been watching the Cup Final. Swansea are 3-0 up against Bradford.
Got the interior done
Now she is together:
So far fit is outstanding.
I have started masking the canopy. Then I will work on the wings.
Just got a confused text from Cosmic. He is either bringing a Fruitcake or he is a Fruitcake!

Off to a good start OT, It's not a bad old kit that Heller Tempest IMHO.
Although I'm not a footie fan per se, the local BBC has been full of the build up for that match. Poor old Bantams sound like they're getting a bit of a kicking then......
No one who does a blitz can claim to be totally sane

Great progress. I built one of these years ago and don't remember any issues.

Re: Blitzbau House - The Builds ***underway***
Thanks guys, no issues with it so far.
The only drama is that Cosmic is AWOL
I have the canopy masked & attached. This is where we are 3 hours in:
As you can see the drinks are flowing.
I will put more PVA around the canopy once it is dry to fill any gaps. Then attach the wings.
Anyone know what colour the wheel wells sould be?
