Flakmonkey's Scooter *FINISHED*
Re: Flakmonkey's Scooter *you can never have enough underway
That's quite a collection of parts. There are nearly as many as the numbers of Sp****res and Se***res that have put in an appearance.
I'm a mostly full-time modeller put a part-time poster....

Re: Flakmonkey's Scooter *you can never have enough underway
OK if you say it's a scooter then who am I to argue. Even though I've seen Quadrophenia umpteen times and have ridden a Vespa you know.
Anyway, it looks very nice.
There seems to be a Sp****re poking into shot though. That's not a bad thing as you don't see many of them these days. They just aren't that popular with modellers any more. Proper man's aeroplane. Perhaps there aren't any proper men building models nowadays.
I notice no mention has been made of the visit by the hairdresser. I bet you've got orange hair now or something. If so I can understand that you don't wish to talk about it. You can if you want to you know. We're an understanding bunch on here.

Smart looking scooter Flak.
What is the issue with the canopy?

I hope Ginger Daughter doesn't read that. Volatile. Very volatile.ShaunW wrote:I bet you've got orange hair now or something. If so I can understand that you don't wish to talk about it. You can if you want to you know. We're an understanding bunch on here.

The carpet monster grabbed it. Then I found it. By stepping on it. Crunch. The carpet monster should have been kept suppressed by the Spit****s and Sea****s doing fighter sweeps. But they were far too busy making each other cough, checking each other for hooks and childishly photobombing the Skyhawk. Steps have been taken.
Decals going on. Refreshments served.
DJ TVW back in the control tower. We continue.
Would ya like to learn to fly? Would ya? Would you like to see me try?

That looks very pretty. As I'm sure does the GD. Please note that I said orange hair, not naturally beautiful red which is just..well..beautiful - have I grovelled enough now? Some of my best friends have red hair you know.

All the decals are on, not without minor problems. Flat coat drying.
The intake warning bands don't fit, the anti glare panel decal doesn't fit and the national insignia needs to be cut out around the bolted on refuelling probe. The first two really were my own fault as I knew I should have masked and sprayed those rather than rely on decals.
Some Lifecolor acrylic and a brush soon sorted it all out. The Spit****s were of little use, and are huddled in corner. Sniggering. Like children. Sniggering, camouflaged children. They will get their comeuppance.
Not sure what to do with the canopy. maybe pretend I lost it, because it's not like anybody here knows the true story. Yes, that's what I will do. Pretend I lost it.
She's playing some good stuff tonight. This is promising. We actually used to go and see these before we were married. If I knew then, gentle reader, what I know now…

Re: Flakmonkey's Scooter *you can never have enough underway
So there is not an issue with the canopy as supplied - just user error then.
The Scooter is looking mighty fine (as is the TVW I expect ).
There seems to be a problem with the previous piece of music mate, it jumps about all over the place like the recoed is scratched!

I don't know Mike. I mean, Spitfires doing it - i think Flak has discovered a whole new genre of 'Specialist movies'. I'm not sure the world is ready for that.mightymikeD wrote:I miss the Sp*****es

Apart from my user error, it doesn't fit in the closed position. Otherwise, good.Old_Tonto wrote:So there is not an issue with the canopy as supplied - just user error then.
Calling it done.
