You can never have too many ***done***
I found this at the bottom of the stash & thought Blitz.
I am not likely to build it now that Airfix have got a lovely Mk.22.
There is no interior at all & no U/C (or even wheel wells!). So what to do with it?

I believe the colours are brown & green with a red spinner. I am aiming to start this evening at about 6pm GMT. I hope you can join me.

Yes, I have a colour image of it in one of my books. I don't think it ever flew in that scheme though. It was re-painted again later when the roundal was changed again - probably after UDI. It should end up looking like this:jRatz wrote:Brown & Green ?
It only has 8 pieces.Ian wrote:Easy Builder? I look forward to finding out!
I agree & we have not seen enough on this forum of late!.flakmonkey wrote:A Spit****? Oh boy! You know you can never have too many Spit****s, don't you?

An 8-piece Sp****re is better than none at all. No one builds them any more. It's the mark of a proper modeller building one you know. Tally ho old chap!

Bet it is an end-opening box also.
Should be done by now. Get to carving my good man.

I can only manage one Parmo a month mate, not as young as I used to be.ShaunW wrote:Oh man, I hate end opening boxes.

I was delayed dealing with a cat flap emergancy. I won't say any more about it but there is a disgruntled pussy roaming the house.
Ok here we go. Parts count is actually 9 (10 if you include the stand).
Overall shape is actually pretty good except for the tail which looks like it came off a Mk.14. Not an issue for this build. The surface is covered with rivets so a bit of sanding is called for. No interior at all so i will just paint it black.
Hold on, there is a song in there somewhere.

Re: You can never have too many ***underway***
Must be time for a drinkies but which one?
I went with the sloe gin to start with. 2009 was a good year.
Back to the kit. It is just about 8pm here & all I have one so far is sand everything down, too much rivet detail & flash. I have broken & repaired the prop & painted the canopy black on the inside. I wonder if i should have painted the frame first?
There is a big gap at the chin:
I am using a pair of spare radiators from a Mk.IX to replace the kit ones. They are not deep enough so i am adding some evergreen plastic to build them up. Once attached i will blend them in with filler. That's the plan anyway.
This is currently playing on the iPad.

It's about time we had a Sp*****e built around here. They've been as thin on the ground as The Fall.
