Sissels Sp&%"=¤# F.22 ** FINISHED **
There's not many kits in my stash I want to blitz, main reason is I want to take my time with them and make them as good as possible, do them justice.
However, the new tool F.22 is one that can be blitzed to a decent standard, I hope.
This build will not be accompanied by alcholic refreshments due to an operation I'm having on Tuesday (oh boy can't wait to get done with that!).
Need to avoid alcohol a while before and after, and I'm starting today to be on the safe side.
I just hope the lack of beer, cognac, vodka etc. wont affect the building itself. Nervous
I am awfully tired but want to have a go and make the best of it.
So kicking off with a glass of fresh grape juice and coffee! Lots of coffee is needed!
The paint I will be using (minus the four on the right side)
Just underway, attached a few pieces.
Sorry I see I forgot a picture of the box itself, it's the new tool Airfix F22 if anyone was wondering...
I will be doing the aluminum version as I don't have a shiny Spit yet, I have a glossy black one

I thought you were building a Raptor with that title! But the Sp****re is a much better choice. I don't know if you've been told or not, but you can never have too many.
I do hope your operation is nothing too serious!

Looking forward to watching the build. And good luck with the operation, like Ian I hope it's nothing serious.

Ian doesn't like silver Spit****s, so if I were you I wouldn't let him see this.
Would ya like to learn to fly? Would ya? Would you like to see me try?

Yeah, I think it's a F-22 she's hiding under the F.22 box .... very stealthily done ...

I've never seen a Raptor with a prop before
Top choice, a Sp****re! no one's building any these days you know so it's very nice to see one.
Best of luck with the operation and I echo the others above in hoping that it's not too serious.

Great idea Sissel. You can never have enough Spitfires.
I am glad you are doing this as I have a couple of these in my stash but have not even looked at them yet.
My blitz has stalled due to work pressures. Can you believe it?

I thought it was a good choice too as we haven't had any Sp******* in this GB yet, yep!
Operation isn't serious, just something necessary, allthough it is lots to think about before and after and I'm a total wuss. Something I've been struggling with it since last August and it keeps getting worse. I'm just glad it'll be fixed before I go on holiday, after operation it can take 4-6 weeks before all is normal again. Yay!
Also on this build running up and down two stories so sorry for not being here so often.
BTW, F22 ??? Where have you guys heard that?? There is no Spitifre or no F22 here! This model is a Splatfly Forest nr. 22.
Sprue paining underway
Pilot is looking really ugly in macro, some paint run, and he's not all done yet, Igor.

Mmmmmmmnice glossy balck Sp****re and his Norse chum.
F22 is going well and it's good to hear that your op is not too serious. I think most people get a bit nervous with ops. I'm not all that keen to visit hospital let alone be a patient!

Be careful of those sp*****es......they seem to like the attention and tend to look for any photo op. Good luck on the operation and best wishes for a speedy recovery

Lovely black Spitfire. I built that one to but my decals went bad!
That Norwegian Spitfire looks mint. Will have to do me one or two of those.

Those pesky Spitfires are knocking on the glass doors of the cabinet. Ahhhh the terrible sound!
Thanks Shaun and coptermech. And thanks OT. I have built a few Norwegian Spits hehe, and more to come.
Carpet monster was hungry so I gave it a tiny part belonging to the cockpit, it's clear, no use in looking. I sniffed a little but my nose didn't pick up anything. Reminder for self: floor needs vacuuming!
I had to cheat with the cockpit. Dry fitting shows bad fit with front and back part (I must have done something wrong).
I had to cut off some below instrument panel to get Igor's feet under. It was either that or amputate them. Actually the control stick (no fancy imaginations here!!) doesn't fit ehm.. between his legs, so will have to do without. Can he operate the Spit without one?
Music, we've forgotton music!! Starting off with a good classic.
