Careful you don't get splinters from that prop!

....what do you mean it's painted?

Masking the red bands was fun!

Got a look of Spitfire about it in the last picture!

Just waiting for the last of the paint to dry and I'll gloss coat it ready for the god-awful decals...

nothing like "God-Awful Decals" to ruin your day.. SMER decals are joining Hobbyboss and PM Kits in my personal Hall Of Shame. This is looking great, by the way.. should be a striking model when it's done

Cheers! For a KP kit this has been suprisingly painless - the rigging (suprisingly!) is another matter.
Last night I got the decals on (all four of them) and varnished and they bedded down well.
I initally had less issues fitting the upper wing than with the MB Walrus...

but I still ended up with a bit of slack in the rigging.

Still sorting this using a heated screwdriver which is so far doing a good job.

Thanks Larry, this kit is a little gem so I hope you enjoy them as much as I have putting this together, and please share how your results!

For rigging I've been using fishing line which is probably the source of my many issues with rigging (as well as being as very clumsy...)

I'm calling this completed and I have to say its been a pleasure, once I got the rigging a bit more sorted -

As with the two other KP kits I've dealt with (MiG-21 and MiG-15), this had some challenges in terms of flash and fit issues but builds up to a nice little replica. I'd glady build another and would highly recommend this kit to anyone needing a relatively simple biplane fix!

The good news is that this kit is still cheap to buy. I bought three for £1.50 each
