I'll be building a Heller Bf109 B in Condor Legion markings.

Re: Tim's Condor Legion 109
With a couple of days to go before the off here are the pics of what I've got lined up.
Having built a couple of Heller 109s in the past I'm looking forward to this one.

Yes, as it's a simple scheme it shouldn't take long. The decals look okay too, which can't be said for all Heller decals.mightymikeD wrote:Are you going with the box-art colour scheme?
I've assembled the wings and painted the cockpit interior.
I used a silver gel pen on the instrument panel.
If the fit of the wings is anything to go by it should go together a treat.

I like the idea for the IP.. I tend to go in for dry brushing and drops of varnish to simulate glass and coloured lights etc.. and then close the fuselage and realise that exactly none of it can be seen!

The airframe has been assembled and some filler applied to the wing roots and undeside wing/fuselage joints.
The IP is still visible at the moment but when the canopy goes on you probably won't be able to see it.

Coming together nicely Tim. You reminded me that I have a silver gel pen somewhere so I must dig it out and try it out on the instrument panel of my Hs123.
Cheers

Re: Tim's Condor Legion 109
As promised, some pictures. With the white wingtips masked off the undesides have had a coat of Hu65 and the uppers a coat of Hu167. I know Barley Grey probably isn't the best match for RLM63 but it looks near enough to me.
Sometime during the last three weeks the aerial mast has gone astray but I should be able to get a replacement easily enough. If I can't finish this in two days I deserve a slap.
