Real life and 3 builds, one for my Mrs and 2 for MarkyM607 have occupied my time, I then have a Valiant and B-47 to finish for Telford so let's see what I can get done.

ooops, I think you´re more busy then me! ....but I´m really slllooooowww at building, I generally do things rather slowly!
Well, the Mig is not so far away from getting primed, photos tomorrow.

so here´s some progress:

now I need to wash off the grease, put the "needle" on (right now it´s only tac´ed, I´m sure I´d snap it off, when washing),
----> and then, finally, primer

All that now remained to be done to the fighter was the airscrew, undercarriage and aerial.

Finished Mitsubishi A6M-5 Zero flown by Takeo Tanimizu of the 203rd FG, Kagoshimma, June 1945.

Finally, on to the Trainer.
Image

This needed a little more work to complete especially Around the canopies, the extra pieces of which were cut from parts dug out out of the spares box. the next step was to paint the model, this was a poser as there are very few images of these aircraft available online and they are all awful. 508 of these aircraft were converted by Hitachi and the Sasebo Naval Air Arsenal from war weary A6M2 fighters and to highlight that I started with a faded Paint finish using Revell Aqua 68 Dark Green and then painted the rear fuselage, tailplanes and sections of the wing root in Aqua Black Green 40 to represent fresh paint applied after the conversion had been carried out.
Image

The cowling was then fitted and the yellow leading edge and fin tip were applied.
Image

All that now needed to be done was to paint the canopy framing and fit the decals, propeller, undercarriage, aerial and drogue cable.
The model was now finished.
Mitsubishi A6M2-K Zero "Tsu 406" of Tsukuba Air Base, Japan, 1944.

Nice work!
I'm liking the MiG-21 as I have one myself on my shelf of doom!

Nice Zeroes! Interesting conversion, but I have to admit I´m not so sure about the meaning of that line that´s running from the housing under the wing, to the end of the fuselage? for attaching clay pigeons for gunnery....?
- - - It´s about time I work again on some more recent toolings like these - at least one of the Mustang trio I want to finish after my MiG, will be a tooling from this century (doh!)
Sorry, no more pics tonight. Priming´s done, looks so different now! Made me discover some blemishes I want to touch up.
Tomorrow silver colour, maybe the red for the topsides, too?

CP, that zero is configured as a Target Tug, the tube under the wing holds a windsock like canvas target which is released in flight to trail behind the tug and be fired upon by novice pilots.

Thinking bout the red coat on the topside now, needs some masking against overspray!

I worked on some blemishes I found here and there, smoothing them out.
But I was already fussy enough with this kit...
That irregular seam on the base of the rudder (well, I shortened the rudder on both ends, in total about half an inch!)
I only covered in a makeshift way, that must do (this model will not become a "gem" anymore  :-D )
I want to have this done in the next few days!

Starting to look good there. Can't wait to see the finished model.

All the best.

I'm going to have to face up to the fact that my intended participation to this SB is going nowhere  Reality has continued to chop down bench time to zero the past month. It might start looking up a bit soon, so maybe in few weeks I'll have cleared enough of the other backlogs to see if I can find my poor bench again. It's only had one of the cats for company for months now, so it must be getting lonely

Whooohooo.. I found me some bench time, and actually got some work done :-D
Not that I have anything to show for it, just some more windings on the horse's legs, but hey, it's a start..

I see all these progressing builds and I feel bad, but I've actually been getting work done on the Sopwith Triplane. It has been sprayed in linen underneath and now olive green (PC10ish) on the topsides.

The Triplane is in the box on the top left - the other models are Camels.

Didn´t get to the bench since 4 days ago...:-(
Did catch a little cold, and too much work in the "real" life - hope I´ll get her done tomorrow.
