I'm starting late but with my HP 0/400 almost done I can begin clearing the decks of my unfinished builds.

@ lancfan: are those extras like the extra armour, fuel barrels, etc., scratchbuilt?
Really makes the tank stand out!
Well, I did some little progress, since there´s not so much left with the Caravelle, I´m doing my Mikoyan at the same time:
for small gaps, I like to use Model Masters (Testors) enamel grey primer, it´s so sticky and thick, wonder how people could use it for priming, actually?
I started making a list, what I still want to do for the MiG, and it´s not too much, I think it don´t need extra thingies to carry, cause it´ll become a red one from a russian acrobatic team.
I wish everybody on this SB good perseverance with the dust collectors !

Waiting for the day, when wars for territory will be something to be read about in history books only.

...only 12 days left til SB-finish, so I better stick to the Caravelle, to get at least one kit to roll/fly-out!
Almost ready for primer now, but I sand down the rivets on the thing, they look too much like pimples to me.
Focus didn´t work right on this photo:

Re: Shelf Of Doom SB *1st June - 1st September*
I'm going to have to face up to the fact that my intended participation to this SB is going nowhere Reality has continued to chop down bench time to zero the past month. It might start looking up a bit soon, so maybe in few weeks I'll have cleared enough of the other backlogs to see if I can find my poor bench again. It's only had one of the cats for company for months now, so it must be getting lonelyrob_van_riel wrote:Just a quick note to say I haven't forgotten about the forum, or died, of something similarly idiotic...
I'm proud to say I've devoted 100% of my bench time since my last post here to this project. Sadly, 100% of nothing is still nothing
Real life has really messed up my modelling work for a while, and seems likely to carry on doing so for a while yet...

state of play: Windows masked, one layer of primer on, now only to smooth out the last dimples, then time for colour!

Re: Shelf Of Doom SB *1st June - 1st September*
The wheels were masked off and the basic paint finish of Humbrol 237 was airbrushed on and the details were brush painted over that.
The decals and final parts were then applied to the model, the turret was then glued in place and a converted commander figure was made up, painted and fitted to the turret along with stretched sprue aerials to complete the model.
Finished, Challenger I mk3, Royal Scottish Dragoon Guards, 7th Armoured Brigade, Operation Granby, 1991.

Re: Shelf Of Doom SB *1st June - 1st September*
So judging by every ones pics and with me completing a model it looks like the shared build has been a success what does everyone think?
You've all made fantastic progress on the unfinished models!
Would anyone like an extension on the ending date of September 1st?
