Many thanks for getting this up and running and for your leadership, Craig.
Will definitely be playing along! I've got grand plans for a P-36/Hawk 75, Wildcat and possibly a Hurricane and/or P-40.

I'd like to play along with my Takom M3 Lee. The kit represents an early M3, so I'll have to see if I can lift a few components from a stalled Academy Grant to update the kit to Operation Torch era configuration.

I may have spoken too soon. The academy Grant also has pepper pot exhausts. Not sure I have anything else to rob.
Stay tuned, I guess.

Re: North African Campaign Shared Build 1st January- 31st Ma
I had everything sorted out for my French N African Hawk 75/P-36 but then I discovered I needed that unusual French bluish/gray. I've got some paint on order that might fit the bill, but until then I think I'll start with this:
I sent one as a gift to a friend but after doing so, I added it to my list. This is a little gem as the sprues show.
Not only do you get two sets of wings but also two cowlings...
..and two canopies, one open, one closed.
The decals look great too.
The painting guides are excellent.
You really can't go wrong unless you intend to completely disregard it as I do since I have a different scheme in mind.

In an effort to reduce my pile (mountain?) of shame I'll be joining in with this.

The first thing I had to do with the Hs 129 was paint the cockpit interior the correct colour as the instructions say the equivalent of RLM02. After that the fuselage was closed up and the wings and tailplanes added.

Re: North African Campaign Shared Build 1st January- 31st Ma
hi this is a kit i was going to sell having read the thread about stash sizes(in small talk) ,until i found out there were no decals or instructions in the kit plus what i thought were a few parts missing ,so instead of the bin i started putting it together
1/72 old airfix Ju-87B-2 Stuka
i then realized when i got to gluing the wheel spats that this was the simplified version kit-which did not have IP,grill or separate wheels included in this version of the kit
it now needs the fuselage seams and wing joints cleaning up and a little filler
btw i'm hoping to finish it in Italian markings in North Africa that's why i have placed the build thread here
cheers craig

Hi, I think I signed up to this but things have gotten in the way a bit. If all goes well with my operation on the 31st, I'll try and join in when I'm back with it!.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Hi, I'm back from hospital. All went well so the docs say. I'm refraining from modelling due to the op being done through my nose. Don't usually worry about smells from paint and glue but on this occasion I will. Will try and get something sorted later this month. Sorry chaps.MarkyM607 wrote:Hi, I think I signed up to this but things have gotten in the way a bit. If all goes well with my operation on the 31st, I'll try and join in when I'm back with it!.

Wasn't the fumes from the hobby that brought on the need for the operation was it?
