I think I'm goingto call this one done. Yes, I know its an unconventional paint scheme, but it was easy in this scale. And it's a bit of what-iffery. I'll get better pics with a regular camera as soon as I can. Anyways, enjoy my idea of a Japanese ME-262

When you mentioned what-if, and it was a dark green with yellow bands, I immediately thought of Thunderbird 2.
Couldn't have been further away. Nice finish.

Looking good, Martin. I just hope your canopy fits well!
Tony, that looks just fine! Given the fit of the kit parts, it's scrubbed up rather nicely. Good job!

Ian,

You are really motoring now! I agree with Tony: all very smart.

I must admit that I haven't touched the Tempest since my last update; I'm trying to get a 1/72nd Corsair finished, but after that, I'll finish it off.

regards,

Martin

I've even managed to get a bit more done on these.

Just need to paint the prop tips on one and paint the names on the bases and I think I'm done.
Might take me another 4 or 5 weeks at this rate.....

A terrific trio of tiny things.
Couldn't think of another "t" word.

Nigel

ps "toys" came to mind, but they're not toys, they're perfect scale replicas, right! :ha:

Spruce green (also known as lichen green) undersides. A mix of 5 parts Vallejo dark green to 1 part light brown.

Image
The top was in the Vallejo bronze green primer, which is actually a pretty good match to Nato Green, but I'm going to spray over with something. Probably just the Vallejo dark green, which is pretty much identical.

Here's the engined testbed aircraft, in dark blue - 3 parts Insignia blue to 1 part black (as on the prototype). It looks pretty nice, so far. I have to finish this paint job off.

Three kits which got attention from Igor Iwata :-D this afternoon.

cheers
