A very nice pair they are too (oooeeer madam etc)

The tyres on the Arctic Harrier got a paint job this evening, after another layer of matt varnish this afternoon.



There are a few aerial blades and the pitot tube to fit, otherwise

Nearly there with the arctic scheme Harrier now Andrew. That P-26, muscling its way into shot, is a proper bobby dazzler

I realised that the little aerials to finish off the Arctic Harrier needed a winter camo coat.



So now I just need these to dry, put them on, and one of the Harriers will be finished.

Fairly random spraying with Vallejo white primer, which gives it that completely natural unfinished look of temporary Arctic camo.

(I.e. I gave it a quick squirt of primer until I ran out. No talent required )

Many liberties have been taken with lots of the detail.



But it looks like a Harrier to me.



And that's the point of building for youself. Obviously I am not going to be invited to join the Harrier SIG.

Done at last and it looks good to me. Although please be warned that I have little talent and no taste

I share your lack of talent and taste, because I think it's "okay", and three months is much too long to be doing a build

I find it all too easy to get bogged down these days. But don't be too hard on yourself, it looks fine from here.

Blue Harrier gets main wheels, jet nozzle and blast deflectors installed.

I agree, this is looking good Andrew. I see the half track appears to have lost a front wheel - Harrier pilots been enjoying a bit of strafing practice?

I stuck the tracks back on, but couldn't find the missing wheel. I think the Battle for Normandy must have got pretty intense last week

I've also lost the front undercarriage doors. That's the second lot I will have to scratch build

So the Harrier needs new doors for the front wheel. I've cut a couple of rectangles of thin brass shim, bent them very slightly and sprayed them white for the inside



You can see them in the thrilling action shot above All the little aerials also got primed.

The Harrier got the little transparent lens stuck on the nose!
