Re: Cattle wagon
Crikey, I must have made loads of them back in the day! That looks really good (and nicely rusted rails too if I may say!)
Best wishes
Jim
If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Re: Cattle wagon
That's gorgeous Ratch. I've never made that one but will put it on my wants list now that my layout is taking on shape in the loft. I like the track and ballast. I think for mine I might add some doe-eyed cows in the wagons, which will remind me of the ones I used to see when I was working track-side in the Brisbane area as the poor girl were on their way down to the abattoir (didn't stop them weeing on us while they were stopped at the signal if we stood too close to the wagons!). The smell of those wagons in the Australian heat will remain with me forever.
Excellent work as always mate.

Re: Cattle wagon
Oh, I see, it's that type of cattle wagon - I was expecting a Scania or something with a load of cows in the back Excellent Ratch. The only one of these classic rolling stock kits I ever did was the yellow cement wagon many moons ago when I used to run a small layout. I recall replacing the wheels and the couplers for Hornby items but other than those additions it was built OOB. Ran quite well too although it was a little light - with hindsight it probably would have run better with some ballast inside in the form of lead weight or similar.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.
