unknown diesel train

Post by rhod444 »

Hey, I bought a diesel train at a model railway fair but i wasnt't told what type. It is not in a catalogue and it says on the bottom 'airfix productions 1975.' does anyone recognise it? Thanks

I'd say it's a class 31, but the front windows will tell you better if the centre one has a step up in the bottom edge compared to the outer sections
Best wishes

Spot on iggie. It is, indeed, a Class 31.

Unless, of course, it's pre-TOPS.

Then it's back to the Boy's Big Book of British Locos. ;-)
