Stephenson's Rocket, Ho scale, Airfix/Dapol

Post by B4en »

This is the first 'little scale' kit I've managed in a couple of years I think. What fun! I really should get some track to display it on.

That is the best one of these I've ever seen finished. Good work.

Terrific. The figures and weathering really set it off 8-)

Now that is really impressive. Overall a great build. Are these Airfix/Dapol kits hard to find?

Cheers chaps! I wanted something simple and fun to test the eyes for small-scale again, and the top hats drew me to this one. You could do all sorts of extra detailing to make it more accurate but I was just pleased with having the pistons turn as you run it along the tabletop.

Dapol stuff might be harder to get over the water Jssel but cheap and easy here. I'm sure you could order any kits you wanted online. As far as I can tell it is all the old Airfix railway and accessories range. I'm not much of a railways buff so others could probably tell you better.
