Revell Ford F150 Raptor

Post by jssel »

While I have had a couple of busts with recent Group Builds, it doesn't mean nothing is coming forth from Jeff's Heavy Industries.

This is the new Revell Ford F150 Raptor. It is one really great snaptite kits that is more like the regular kits and less toy like.
While moulded in red and black plastic I decided on my own finish. Spraying Testors Gold onto the body it was finished with a 50-50 mix of Tamiya clear yellow and red, misting until I thought I had what I desired in the finish.

Sure enjoyed the build and auto modelling is a bit outside my comfort zone.\

Looks great, Jeff... you could just jump in and drive away. A little bit of light conversion (and some seriously loud yellow paint), and you could end up with one of these:

Is it 1/25 or 1/32?

bestest,

Thanks Matt. It is 1/25 scale. I would do another.

That looks excellent Jeff. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the F-150 Ford's longest running vehicle series, having first been produced way back when?
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Work is the curse of the modelling classes!

I do believe you are correct on the F150. I think the Chevy Silverado series is right up there also.

I love what you did with the color. Great work :)
Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...
