Tamiya 1/24 Lotus Super 7 Series II

Post by montessa315 »

A quick five day build. Completed as a road going version.

Very pleased with it, but for the cables from the battery. Didn't look so big in real life, but definitely too big looking in the pics.
Not going to change them as superglued in and don't want to risk pulling off any paint.

Live and learn for the next one.

Hi there,

Would you mind telling me how you made the black boot at the base of the gear lever- looks very effective.
Also there doesnt seem to be a handbrake in the kit- did you add anything?

Thanks

Update--very sorry- ignore the bit about the gear lever- ive looked at my kit & its part of the moulding. Your excellent paint job & photos fooled me!!

IIRC - there wasn't a handbrake as part of the kit and as I was just using this kit as a sort of pick me up, to get back into the modelling after a short break, I just wanted a quick easy build OOB. So didn't add a handbrake.
When I build it again someday, a handbrake would be easy to add by just using a bit of stretched sprue.
