vw samba bus
hi, this is my first time here so i apologize in advance for any mistakes i am likely to make, i am going to build the samba bus by revell i did a dry run of the body work and looking at it i thought i would like to stretch it so i bought another one and hopefully join the two together, i have not done anything like this before as i basically build out of the box some times with a few after market parts with various degrees of success

Nice. What scale is this kit? A fully restored full size one recently sold for a lot of dollars here in Australia.

It's 1:24th isn't it? By all accounts it's a very nice kit and I'm looking forward to watching this one built.

That's going to be huge!
I don't know if your 'stretch' has ever been done for real, but I'm not sure that both sets of double doors would be feasible strength-wise. However, as it's a WHIF project, then who cares!

(plus any number of other stretch sambas can be seen in a google image search)
Great project!
My parents had a Type II kombi when I was growing up and I'd like to build a replica. Sadly there is no kit of it in 1/24, only of the Type I.
Must.....build....ALL the Sopwith Camels!...
