Re: Honda RS100 endurance racer
[quote="syd-baines"], i have put some photo etch bolt heads on the engine side covers,
I have just reread this post, and a thought occurred. When these bikes were being built, the big four were using allen bolts on the engine covers. Appologies if this post is inappropriate.

Re: Honda RS100 endurance racer
some did have allen bolts but most came with hex. bolts owners used to change them to allen bolts i used to when i had to take the engine covers off the post is not inappropriate, i dont think allen bolts came in untill later, but i will stand corrected on this, it`s to late on this build but i will look into it and put allen bolts on if on the real bike, thanks for the feed back

Re: Honda RS100 endurance racer
done a bit more to the Honda, got the exhausts on and a few more bits and pieces, i have tried to put a little heat staining on the exhaust i didnt want to overdo it but maybe i not done it enough i have never tried this before i usually just paint them and then just leave them general rocket has said that the bikes from that period had allen bolts on the engine covers i will have to get some for future builds, here is the pictures so far

Re: Honda RS100 endurance racer
thanks guys as i said i made a mess of the 1st one but i got the hang of it in the end, i will probably do another chain for on another bike sometime, but back to the build i have done a little more and built the front forks, they are now on the bike it is just waiting for the bodywork now which is already painted and decaled hopefully that will go on tomorrow after i have put the little bits and pieces on, here is the work so far

Re: Honda RS100 endurance racer
thanks guys i have now finished the bike, i have put some rivets in the fuel filler caps put some micro kristal clear (yes that is how it is spelt) on the speedo gauge to make it look like a lens also stuck the windshield on with it, i have put some adhesive foam for moto gp bikes on the seat it looks so much better than the painted kit on that is all the extra i have done with the bodywork, i have had trouble to get the decals to stick to the model i used setting solution on them over a couple of days but they did not want to adhere for some reason so i did the best i could do with them and then clear coated them to make them stick to the model i am not happy with them anyway here is the finished model, thanks for watching and your comments is always welcome
