1965 Plymouth Barracuda in 1:32 scale

Post by gnomemeansgnome »

Between the weather and my pc trying to self destruct I finally managed to get a move on with the Barracuda. I consider it more or less restored, although if and when I ever get around to figuring out how to plunge mold clear parts I will replace the somewhat overly toylike front and rear windows. The scratchbuilt replacement tail lights turned okay though.

Nice one GMG, a classic U.S. muscle car. I've yet to get round to having a go at plunge moulding too - I have visions of melted plastic covering the oven grill after trying to get the stuff up to working temperature and my wife's face when confronted with the carnage! That's put me off so far :ha:
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

That's more or less what keeps me from doing it as well, though I have no SO to answer to. I do however have an aversion to burning my place down!

Very nice work, I have plunge moulded small canopies, but like you baulk at doing such large pieces.

Whenever I get off my tuffet and learn how to do it, more of my stalled builds can proceed.
