Re: Pocher 1/4 ducati panigale
Very nice, KP. My how bikes have changed since I rode them. Putting my motorcycle anorak on, I note that the rear suspension system with its linkages and, no doubt on the full-size, expensive Ohlins shock appears to be mounted offset using the engine as a part of the chassis instead of being mounted centrally to the frame under the seat as monoshock systems tended to be way back when - 'tis black magic I tell ye!
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Yep they bare no resemblance to the bikes I used to ride
Re: Pocher 1/4 ducati panigale
I really love this kit. I'm working on the handle bars, there are more parts in just these bits than in some 1/24 car kits I've built (I'm not looking forward to the tiny decals)(They supply all the decals there are on the real bike) it has working break and clutch levers and a working throttle.

i agree the bikes have really changed, sounds like you have a lot of work in front of you good luck you doing a grand job
Re: Pocher 1/4 ducati panigale
Hi all I've done one of the handles (the decals are tiny even with my magnifying lights they were difficult to place)
I've added the cable and wiring that's missing.

Great work, KP and a great display of patience with those very small and fiddly looking decals!

Hi all well this has been on and off half a dozen times as I couldn't find a way for the clutch reservoir horizontal then I checked some ref pics to find it's at an angle on the real bike. I was getting so stressed trying to get it level and horizontal, I'd have been pulling my hair out if I had some.

Re: Pocher 1/4 ducati panigale
the reservoir does appear to be at an angle on the 1/1 bike, looking good
Re: Pocher 1/4 ducati panigale
Hi all it’s been a while but here is the next update (what a pita this was) I snapped the screw in the steering head clamp so had to drill it out then re tap and guess what I cross threaded it and snapped it off again (don’t know how it’s still in one piece) on another forum a member called silver 911 has some PE radiator grill made to upgrade the radiator he kindly gave me the email of the company that produced them for him and gave me permission to use his fins so I’ve ordered them (I feel a bit guilty as they cost him50 quid )( costs for creating the pattern I suppose) only costing me 21.60, anyway it’s a vast improvement over the kit supplied part.

I bet there was some choice language around the KP bench during that series of near disasters! She's looking good and so realistic, KP and I look forward to seeing the upgrade for the rad grill and it's good of that guy to allow you to use the pattern created for him - that said though, it's annoying that the OOB grill isn't perhaps as good as it could or should be in a kit costing as much as this.......

Wow! That looks more real than the real one I used to have back in 72.
