Re: Revell 1/24 HLF20 Varus 4x4
Ok so made a start on this seems like a good fit so far, and I've got to say I really like the new instructions.
Re: Revell 1/24 HLF20 Varus 4x4
Not sure what's happening here. Trying to paint the rad and fan blade washed the sprue as normal in soapy water but the paint won't stick I've primed it and taken it off 3 times (other parts on the same sprue were fine first time) the rad and the fan blade just won't seem to take the paint (it looks like a grease problem) I've scrubbed it with meths even but still get the same problem.
Help.

Hi all well ciff seems to have done the job so I've done some weathering on the engine and chassis.

This looks interesting, KP. The only trucks I've ever built have been military ones. This should build up into a nice eyecatching subject.

looking good great start, dont know about your paint problem except it could be some stubborn release agent from the mold but i would expect the whole sprue to be like it, pleased you got it sorted looking forward to seeing more

Great further progress, KP. Generally I like Revell kits, IMHO the company offers good quality at reasonable prices.

I wholly agree their london bus is a marvel of engineering and the new Wasa is apparently superb ive seen a couple of builds of that and am really impressed (still to finish my airfix one yet before i think of buying that one)

great work coming along very nicely
Re: Revell 1/24 HLF20 Varus 4x4
Hi all done a bit more to this super detailed chassis (Not done a truck before I'm amazed how much detail there is just in the chassis) I think I'm only about half way through it.
I've started on the cab also. I used foil on the roof
I think it looks too clean so I weathered it a bit and added some other details.
