Your regular primer should be fine but do wash the parts beforehand. There is often mould release agent on them. You will need to use CA or epoxy glue. The latter is often too messy to use with kits but can be used to reinforce joints when applied somewhere that will be unseen. As to CA, I would use the gel or slow setting stuff especially on large parts where you want a little bit of work time. With thin CA you are better holding the parts together and then use capillary action to allow the CA to flow into the join. Photoetch can be applied with CA but when the part is attached flat to something PVA is easier to use.

Good luck it looks to be an impressive kit.

Another Bugatti build on the go, albeit a much more modern version. I look forward to seeing this one, Syd. I've never built a kit largely consisting of resin parts and have only used small resin accessory parts, added to a plastic kit using CA - take James' advice and you won't go far wrong.

i have painted the bodywork and the wheels but i got a little over enthustiastic when putting the wheels on the axles by tightening the screws up a bit tight and broke the middle of the wheels so had to glue them back in got to re paint them, the photos i have seen the body is made of carbon fibre so i have bought a couple sheets of clear carbon that when put on the model you can see the colour of the body but when i put some on you could not see the carbon pattern over the dark blue so i will not bother to put anymore on so this is where i am at the moment

Nice one, Syd, I like the look of that. What a beast of a car the Vision GT is!

Nice work. Is that an escape hatch on the roof?

thanks Shaun and Nigel at the speeds this monster can achieve 250 mph it could do with an escape hatch but that is the engine cover, i have now finished the car it took some doing as the instructions was not very clear and there was no colour references so anyone who is wanting to do one of these kits will have to do quite a bit of research, there is a lot of photo etch which some are very fiddly to do i messed the windscreen wiper up so had to leave that off the fit of parts was good just the minimum of clean up was needed not my best i managed to break one or two parts as i found out resin is a lot softer and more fragile than plastic but nothing that could not be put right, it is not a kit for the beginner or anyone who wants a quick build, the pics of the model you can make your own mind up as to how it looks

Nicely done, Syd. The Bugatti is certainly no shrinking violet but, after reading up on the car, only one was built as a concept although it is fully roadworthy and is apparently owned by one Hezy Shaked, Chairman and CEO of Tillys, an American retail clothing company. Lucky him!

A very fine looking car and a great build Syd.

Will certainly invest in a kit some time in the future.
