A Rolls Royce hotrod anyone?

Take one phantom 2 plus a Merlin engine and a strange builder and you get.
Got her in primer and mocked up...

Good to see how she's going to shape up and those twin rear wheels remind me of the RR armoured car. This is indeed a great project, Arni, I don't really have the imagination or detailed knowledge of hot rods to be able to take a standard kit like this Italeri Roller and turn it into something feasible looking!

tbh a merlin connected to a Ford gearbox :shock: might get you through the first set of lights.. :ha:

Got a reconditioned engine,a BL Gold seal unit so new bearings,rings and so on.
Redid the exh manifold so it faces the rear.

Got the engine done,the valve covers are gloss black with the rolls badge Molotow.

I sprayed the rims orange with Molotow highlights.

Messed up and dropped one of the instruments - GONE!................So replaced it with a bit of window Molotowed,so will give them a black wash in the morning.

Wow that looks cool, Arni, excellent work. I like it with the roof up as it gives it more of a "rod look" IMHO. That much horsepower and torque would certainly push driver and passengers back into their seats away from the lights!!
