It has the feel of a tin-toy from the same vintage of the bus which adds to it's charm. Always good to see one of these more esoteric Airfix kits built.

Great work, would like to see more of these old timers!
Reminds me of a bus I had a ride on, in a museum outside of York.

That's a nice finish on a kit I always used to see in the catalogue but never in the flesh.

Really nice looking model Ratch. I always wanted one of these but never got round to buying one. I think models like this, i.e. outside the "normal" modelling spheres of interest, show there is indeed a market for such subjects to be kitted by the mainstream manufacturers.

Nice one Ratch.
I have one of these along with the fire engine which I'm tempted to do for my winter project.
What were the fit issues that you mention ?

Misfitting panels on the upper deck and the stairs

I never come to this section of the forum, but this bus is cool, I like it. ;-)

Nice 1918 B type! Don't see enough of these built up.

sorry to be pedantic but the Airfix kit Box titles are wrong. the kit depicts a 1918 production bus!

(Yes, its also no good for the old bill bus either, but the modifications are easy to do to backdate it!)

That brings back fond memories of making bodging this kit many years ago!
Lovely build with lashings of character

Hi Guys

I bought a brand new "Ole Bill" version of this and one of the main parts, the chassis rail, was missing. There was a time when Airfix replaced missing parts without any hassle. No more. So I've bought the B-Type and keeping my fingers crossed it is intact.

Airfix do replace missing parts - when they have them.
