Three slipper tanks? they will come in handy if you build more Spitfires.

I believe someone once said "you can't have enough Spitfires" :ha: :ha: :ha:

Resin too - should be fun.

Is there a company that produce RNAF decals? I am only really interested in decals for Spitfires.

Norseman used to make these sheets for Norwegian Spitfires, but went out of production many, many years ago. I was lucky to get some back then!
I have these in 1/48 and 1/72.
If you want I'll send you the remains of my 1/48 sheet, there some left for two full Spitfire builds. My 1/72 sheet will be used up with this build.

An alternative, depending on what Spit you'd build, you can use this Vingtor sheet, best for PR XI, but you'll need to make the white circle around the roundels yourself.
That's the sheet from the Trainers. You can get them at Hannants or order directly from Vingtor.net.

The Spitfire I'm building will be A-ZC. After a little checking around it looks like I'm gonna have to order camera houses to go under wings. Don't think the A-ZB had that.
This will postpone the build a bit.
Uhm well depending on how fast I build to that stage, no worries I'm sure :-D

Ok, I've begun with a little sprue painting. First look on this kit tells me there's tons of flash, tons.
And the plastic is very soft which has already resulted in me breaking some cockpit parts cutting them off sprue. Nothing superglue can't fix though.
There's really not much I can do before receiving the parts in the mail. I can glue in cockpit in, and paint wheels and prop.

Started cutting a hole for the cameras. Needed to be careful here as plastic is ultra soft and can easily break.

Image

More holes made, pins sanded away and tidied up the wheel bay openings as they were flash ugly. :-D
All camera holes will be tidied up for exact sizes when I get the package.

Here's a little interior painting that needs touch ups all over really. Searching for interior colors it's nothing out of the ordinary. Just need to remember seat belts! Now I really wish I had a silver pen for the instrument panel. Need to get one asap.

Is beer allowed in GBs or are they reserved for blitzes? Either way I'm enjoying one. ;-)
My thread, I'm the boss. :ha:

Not a bad beer Sissel, and a Spitfire build too. You can never have too many Spitfires.

Yeah, I think it's quite good. Other good Asian beers are Tiger and Singha. I'm sure I will be exposed to many kinds on my China trip in May.

The parts still haven't been shipped, hopefully tomorrow. Meaning I will get them last week of month. It shouldn't be a problem. Several days to build and finish.

There is always time for good beer. Just make sure it's not some suspiciously cheap beer like 'Canadian Ace', the beer aged in the pipe to the can.
On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

I am still waiting for the camera houses, hopefully packet will arrive Monday or Tuesday. We're getting folks over from east-Norway for Easter so I have to finish the Spit by Wednesday! It will be a blitzbuild.
Now offcourse I wish I had done research earlier to have found out I needed extra bits. Oh well ! :-D

I feel bad, this is one slow GB for me... but I will finish!

You guys are so right on both accounts. There's gonna be beer, whiskey, cognac, vodka, rum and maybe even one of my homebrewed drinks! ;)
Oh hang on, was I suppose to build something as well? Lets drop half the stuff above then.
Alcohol equals steady hands. There's the answer to canopy frame painting :-D
