Looking top notch Jeff, multicoloured spinners are always a bugbear for me but you've got that down pat from the look of it

Looks very classy Jeff
Re: Jeff's bashes a Mk XVIII
Well I got to work this morning and realized I left my camera SD card home. I'll pick it up a little later for this update.
Theater marking in place on the nose. They consist of thin black and yellow striping. An old Aircam book shows a profie with red and yellow but I think the black is correct.
While at it, the yellow ID striping was added to the leading edges of the wing. This morning before work I glossed it up for decaling later tonight.

Re: Jeff's bashes a Mk XVIII
Catch up this morning as I remembered the SD card.
Decaling is mostly done with the exception of serials and aircraft code (K). In the background you can see the decal sheets just obtained from Hannant's with all sorts of codes and stuff. Thank you Paul B for tipping me off this this.
Tonight is finishing up the decaling and vac-forming a few canopies to wrap up this little lot.

That aircraft looks really nice. Can't wait to see it added to the completed postings.
On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

More stripes! You're definitely a braver man than me Jeff, looks great and the added colour sets of the ETO scheme a treat.

That looks great, good work on those stripes! Very attractive.

Re: Jeff's bashes a Mk XVIII
Looks stunning. How on earth can you mask those nose stripes so neatly? What tape do you use, please?

Hi David.
I used Tamiya's yellow tape cut to width. I use a steel ruler as a guide. Yellow paint goes on first naturally. Strips of tape are added and black sprayed on over that. Not a real difficult thing to do.
Thanks everyone for the comments. Should finish up tonight if all goes well.

I am going to call this one done. As a recap, the K is from a dry transfer sheet. The serials are from the sheets I just obtained from Hannant's.
I really had a blast with this project. Got to do a little scratchbuilding/conversion work and refreshed my memory on how to do things without the aid of aftermarket. While not the bestest late war/post war Spitty, it looks the part and gives me eight in my 1/72 scale collection.
Thanks everyone who looked on and gave me encouragement.
