I'll look into the lineage of that mold Kit. Might be a re-pop.

Well, we have three builders and since I am the leader, why don't you build the Academy kit. That way we can compare the three players in 1/72 and maybe learn something in the process. There is logic in that.

I will set up the thread and hopefully supply some history.

To begin with, the aircraft was designed by Clarence "Kelly" Johnson who was born and raised in a small town just west of me. My local band of pirates built a display of his aircraft at the local airport. A former member of my model club was a crew chief of them had had lots of stories.

I've the Dragon 1/144 out of the stash to build this year as it's simple kit, but I just don't have the time to make progress on anything at the moment. I'll join in if I can.
