18 parts make up the cockpit that's more than your average PM kit in total :ha: :ha: :ha:

My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

ok, will post some photos tomorrow, not in the mood right now.

But here is where I am at, built up the mini kit which is the cockpit, the whole time thinking "This won't fit easily" glued it in place since it had locating pins figured can't go wrong.

Ok so time for fuselage halves, and of course it doesn't fit as predicted, pull out cockpit, break some of it which was a blessing as now it fits in it's simplified state, won't matter anyway as all the work will be unseen.

You've been more constructive than me by actually attempting to fix the cockpit floor, I just left the gap and chucked a ton of filler at it! Look forward to seeing your pictures.

Thanks MDT, when I pulled the cockpit out the entire top half broke away so it's not looking good. I thought it might have been my mood when I was building this so put it aside and started the old Airfix Grumman Duck which I have no problems with even doing well with the wing struts, so I think this kit at the moment anyway is just not working for me.

I hate pulling out of a GB but rather than build something I am not happy with, will put it on hold.
