Well everyone, here we are. It will soon be Saturday and we can then start the build.

I'm going to be building the revell p51 for this build using decals from an xtradecals 617 squadron sheet. Looking forward to it, although I just hope the model turns up in time for the start!

Hannants is going to make a killing selling those decal sheets to this groupbuild :-D I think at least three of us will be using it, and probably more.

I have to admit I'd forgotten I'd signed up for this!

I'll be in with a Tornado - either the old Monogram or a newer Hasegawa, depending on how I feel once I've looked at them... ;-)

I'll be in with a an Italeri Tornado, and a Revell Lancaster, I just couldn't pick between them so I'll have a stab at both. Thinking of doing Dinghy Young's AJ-A and for the Tornado I'm going to have a stab at the current 70 years fin art...

Cheers

OK, I decided - the Hasegawa. Both kits had a very similar breakdown abd the recessed panel lines on the Hase swayed the decision.

I'll be hopefully opening a build threat tomorrow with an attempt at the good old Airfix Vulcan.

Will watch this build by MDT in great interest, I do intend building one of these myself at some time in white finish with 617 markings.
