At great cost to my nerves...

If the canopy looks okay, then I'll spray matt varnish on the undersides, fix the canopy and call it finished. I'll upgrade it with aerials and weathering later... :)

I managed to spray the undersides with the matt varnish, and I peeled off the masking. The results were pretty good, not perfect, but should be easily fixed. Next time, I'll leave the paint to cure overnight.

The canopy still needs gluing on and blending in.

Phew!

I've put the canopy on and glued on the undercarriage doors. I'm going to call this one finished, even though there are a few little details undone. I can always do a few upgrades at a later date.

Not my best work, but I've learned a lot about masking big canopies (Montex masks are worth their weight in gold :-D ), and homemade decals (good fun  ).

Gave you a run for your money, but the result looks like it is worth it.

Thanks Mark. It's best viewed from a distance, there are lots of things that I should fix, but my stamina for this kit is dwindling. That's why I mostly do single engine planes!

Have a good holiday!

Congrats on finishing this Andrew - a lot of effort went into this old banger classic old kit and you've ended up with a great result.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Work is the curse of the modelling classes!

I'm too tight careful with my money to shell out the notes for the Tamiya Mossie, but it would have saved a lot of time

Cheers
