This isn't a simple warp -- the sides fit together perfectly -- it must be something in the manufacture.

Anyway, I put a silver base/primer on it and fixed a few spots.

Now the sky fuselage band and spinner are painted.

Will try for undersides tomorrow ...

Yeah, and the more I look at it, I did not sufficiently correct the air scoop, still a bit wimpy looking ....

Will have to do, I'm afraid ...

Look on the bright side John, at least the air scoop is on the underside where it is less noticeable and we're all too polite on here to look and point

Well, except that I'm going to put it on it's stand

The underside is Sky Grey, US equivalent of course, per the decal sheet ...

Hopefully one coat of one topside color tomorrow ....

Sorry, no pix, boring anyway ....

The DE is on, should be able to get DG started tomorrow. I'm using WEM mixes and 24-hours between coats is a handy rule if brushing ....

Sorry, we have a bunch of non-modeling things going on and I have a kit review starting to approach deadline ....

Y'all have been clamoring for pictures .... this'll change your tune :)

These are supposed to be "DuPont colors" for DE/DG/Sky, but I really have no decent reference to tell me exactly what they should be so I made 'em look, well, different ....

Not that good a paint job, hand-brushed and the green gave me problems, and I have some edges to take off and some touch-up to do ....

You'll see my air scoop is bigger but still isn't right .... bummer but too late to correct ....

Moving right along best I can ....

Sorry, I am a DNF.

It should have been simple, but May simply was not a Modeling Month.
It's not the kit's fault, it is OK except for the poorly represented air scoop, which I could have fixed better ...

Congrats to all the finishers - I am very impressed by the variety of air forces represented and by the quality of the models. Well Done !

No worries, stuff like that happens, Jeff. It really does look great and I hope we will be able to see the finished model elsewhere on the forum. :)
