Splash's MK lorry & MK fuel bowser

Post by splash »

This is the old JB kit re boxed by Airfix. I spent a lot of time in the back of these in my Naval days.

The kit is simple but well detailed unfortunately you can only build it with the top on.

My workbench is so full and this kit is small so I have reverted to using a tray.

A coat of green shows the detail in this kit quit well.

I don't normally do AFV in any scale but I'm enjoying this, I have given the top a light blow over with a slightly lighter green and a pin wash to bring out the detail.

So far I'm happy with the results.

That's looking good. I like these old JB kits, the Vickers Light Tank is a good build too.

Cheers

Nice work on the canvas. Watch the wheels though, there are different hubs for front and rear.

Thanks for the heads up Nigel I hadn't spotted that. No problem they are not stuck on yet.

This is a great looking kit Splash and for three quid you can't really go wrong - a proper bargain I'd say

I really is a nice little kit, I do like the transparent cab, being a lazy sod I just sprayed it green then scrapped the paint off the windows.

I'm happy with the way this is turning out time to look at making a base and adding a bit of dirt.
